Honda brings $7,500 EV tax credit for Prologue and Acura EVs
Honda on Thursday announced the $7,500 U.S. tax credit for 2024 electric Prologue SUV models and predicted future eligibility for Acura ZDX models.
Prologue Models:
These tax subsidies will be applied to models purchased and built after February 26, 2024, at the time of the delivery.
Honda Prologue EX Single Motor has an MSRP of $47,400 with 296 miles of drive range. It will be reduced to $39,900 after tax credit and an additional $1,395 for shipping and handling.
EX Dual Motor All Wheel Drive has an MSRP of $50,400 with 281 miles of drive range. It will be reduced to 42,900 after tax credit and goes to $44,295 with $1,395 for shipping and handling.
Touring Single Motor model with an MSRP of $51,700 with 296 miles of drive range. It will go down to $44,200 after tax credit and goes to $45,295 after handling charges.
Touring Dual Motor version with an MSRP of $54,700 with 281 miles of drive range. It will be reduced to 47,200 after tax credit and adjusted to $48,595 after shipping and handling charges.
The Elite model with dual motor is priced at $57,900 and with the tax credit, it falls to $50,400 and up goes to $51,795 for delivery and handling. This model could go up to 273 miles of driving range on a full charger.
Acura:
The 2024 Acura ZDX will get tax credit eligibility for all of the models including A-specs and higher performance ZDX Type S.
A-Spec with single motor has 358 max horsepower 324 torque and 313 miles of EPA range with an MSRP of $64,500 (before $7,500). The dual motor A-Spec drive has 490 max horsepower 437 torque and 304 miles of EPA range with an MSRP of $68,500 (before $7,500).
The Type S Acura with dual motor all-wheel drive has an MSRP of $73,500 with 278 miles of range. The Type S Wheel + Tire version with dual motor has 500 max horsepower and 278 miles of driving range. The top Type S is priced at $74,500 and $67,000 after the EV tax credit.
