Rivian on Thursday unveiled its R2 mid-sized all-electric SUV starting at $45,000 which is slated to deliver in the first half of 2026. This vehicle comes with a shrunk form factor of Rivian R1S and a few updated sections over its full-size counterpart.

This SUV is the first to announce Tesla’s North American Charging STandard (NACS) charge port. It means that R2 could charge with a Tesla Supercharger without an additional charging adapter.

There are three drivetrain for R2 announced by CEO RJ Scaringe including a single motor variation with rear-wheel drive (RWD).
