X adds video quality selection feature
X social media has added a new video quality selection feature which is an important capability to switch resolution. This feature comes in handy for media stream management and saving data consumption.
Popular video platform YouTube already has had such capability since the very beginning.
Based on the findings from X users, you can change a video quality by going into settings gear, clicking on “Video quality” and selecting a video quality range from:
- 270p
- 380p
- 720p
- 1080p

Auto is set by default and will choose video quality based on the internet speed of the user’s device. However, there’s no confirmation about the resolution selection for 4k videos.
This feature is currently rolling out for limited users on the web version and will gradually be released for all of the users.
