Rivian is hosting R2 Reveal Watch Party on March 7th

Rivian has announced a special Rivian R2 screening and reveal watch party to celebrate the launch of this upcoming vehicle on March 7th.

Rivian has published a new event registration page on its website for people who want to join the “special viewing of R2” in person. This special viewing will happen at Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach CA 92651. Interested people can register on the Rivian events page.

The company is hosting a reveal watch party at its Normal manufacturing facility in Normal Illinois. “Join us for a watch party of the R2 reveals live streamed on the big screen,” wrote the company.

This watch party is co-hosted by the Gateway Rivian Club and attendees will get snacks and beverages as well as gear giveaways. The company has arranged cheering for the first R2 reservations and there will be exclusive R2 reveal souvenirs for all.

Eventually, attendees will have a chance to meet other people from the Rivian community and owners.

The doors at Normal, IL facility will open at 11:30 a.m. CST and live stream on the screen will begin at 12:00 p.m. CST. To join this watch party you will need to also register on the events page.

You can also join Rivian R2 live stream right on your phone via its X social media account to watch the unveiling in your comfort zone.

Rivian R2:

This new Rivian vehicle is likely to compete against Tesla in price point and features offering. CEO RJ Scaringe said that Rivian R2 will be compact and reduced price point.

This car is also aiming for a $7,500 Federal tax credit and its chief said it will be eligible for that after launch.
