Rivian posts another launch teaser for R2
Rivian today posted a new teaser for its upcoming Rivian R2 to promote a live-streaming event directly on the social media site X.
During a recent interview with Forbes, Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe said that the Rivian R2 will be a small and lower-priced electric vehicle (EV) compared to the other Rivian models.

The company this time is aiming the production around the $7,500 federal tax credit. For that, Rivian needs to not only reduce the MSRP but also meet the supply chain requirements under the 2024 EV resourcing.
Scaringe said that R2 will expand Rivian’s access to more customers in the EV market which wasn’t possible with R1s. For now, the price of the car is not confirmed by the executive but it’s likely to sit around $40K with those incentives or maybe less.
The Rivian R2 will be unveiled on March 7 at an event organized in Laguna Beach, California.
