Upgraded Tesla Model 3 Long Range gets third price increase of this month

The Upgraded Tesla Model 3 Long Range version has now raised $250 in the purchase price as the third increase in a single month.

The new Model 3 comes in two versions – Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel-Drive. These two models were initially listed at $38,990 and $45,990 respectively.

The RWD model offers 271 miles of EPA range, 125 miles per hour top speed and it can accelerate 0-60 mph within 5.8 seconds. The Long Range offers an extended EPA drive range of 341 miles, 125 miles per hour top speed and it takes 4.2 seconds for 0-60 mph acceleration.

Tesla says that the design has been refined compared to the legacy model. The headlights are now slimmer and the front hud is also trimmed to provide better aerodynamics. The cabin is equipped with improved noise cancellation and installed new ventilated seats.

The car has new taillights which tag along with the car’s rear gate. The addition of ambient light in the interior is also complimentary to the buyer.

Price Change:

Earlier this month, the Tesla Model 3 Long Range received a $1000 hike taking the overall purchase price to $46,990. A week later, Tesla added $500 more to the Long Range variant at $47,490. After the latest addition, the Long Range now stands at $47,740. The RWD Tesla Model 3 in the meantime maintained its price at $38,990.

Additionally, Tesla $500 for the white interior which was $1000 in the previous listing.

The latest price adjustment is part of Tesla’s continued shift in strategy which is not limited to the U.S. customers. Amid these changes, Tesla Model 3 is not eligible for the $7,500 Federal Tax credit which could further cut its purchase price and make it more affordable.

Performance version:

Tesla also has an Upgraded Tesla Model 3 Performance version coming somewhere this year. This EV has been spotted in public a few times and it may be a reasonable upgrade for anyone looking for a high-end Model 3.
