Porsche introduces Panamera 4 and 4S E-Hybrid variants
Porsche today introduced two new plug-in hybrids of Panamera including 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid with increased performance and driving range.
Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid has a combined e-hybrid system including a 2.9-liter V6 bi-turbo petrol engine. The system output of 346 kW and the maximum torque of 650 Nm could accelerate 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 280 km/h. The carmaker says 4 E-Hybrid increased range to 96 kilometers in the WLTP cycle.
Panamera 4S has the same engine an electric system output is 400 kW and a maximum torque is 750 Nm. The car could accelerate 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and up to 290 km/h top speed.
Compared to the past version the E-Hybrid has a new voltage battery that boasts 45 percent more capacity. It equips a new 11kW on-board-AC-charger that can reduce the charging time to two hours and 39 minutes.
This vehicle will start on electric mode by default and switch to hybrid mode once the charging goes down to a certain level. It offers different modes including the E-Hold mode which preserves the current state of the battery. In E-Charge mode, the combustion engine charges the battery up to 80 percent out of town.
In Sport and Sport Plus modes, the vehicle reduces the target state of the charge of the battery to 20 and 30 percent respectively, and increases efficiency compared to the previous 30 and 80 percent.
The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid are now available to order and the deliveries in Europe will start in the second quarter of 2024.
