Wallbox Supernova 180 DC fast EV charger launched in North America

Wallbox, an electric vehicle (EV) charger company, has announced the production of Supernova 180 UL-certified DC fast EV chargers in North America.

It is the third generation Wallbox DC fast EV charger design for North American markets after Supernova 60 and Supernova 150 in Europe.

This charger brings 180 kW charging power and can fill 100 miles of range within 10 minutes of a charging session. It includes 30kW power modules, even if one module fails, the charger will continue to operate on the rest of the modules.

Other features of the Supernova charger include cable handling through a cable management system, and different payment options including credit card and RFID. It has a light system and a 10-inch touch color touch screen.

This charger will be available with the support of both CCS1 and NACS connectors through 2024.
