No Model Y Refresh coming this year says Tesla
If you are waiting for a new Tesla Model Y then you might be disappointed a bit because the company has no plans to refresh this EV this year reveals a new report.
An internal email has surfaced on X and it addresses employees about the “Tesla Model Y Refresh”. This email guides employees that there will be no refresh for the Tesla Model Y launching this year.
Tesla has recently released an Upgraded Tesla Model 3 which comes with a slightly increased EPA range, improved design aspects, and a better internal cabin.
Since then, customer queries have been increased about the next Model Y release. Therefore, the EV maker took this new step to increase transparency over the next Model Y and share it with the related customers.
“We heard your feedback that some customers are waiting to place their Model Y order as they anticipate a refresh similar to Model 3. It is important that we communicate transparently that there is no refresh for Model Y launching this year” mentioned in the email.
A report from Bloomberg suggests that Tesla is preparing a revamped version of the Tesla Model Y and it could go into mass production by mid-2024.
The new Model Y is likely to bring improvements in both the interior and exterior of the EV, the wheels are optimized and the model includes ambient lighting. These changes are identical to the new Model 3 and it could upgrade the user experience.
Price Cut:
Earlier today, Tesla announced a price cut of $1000 in rear-wheel drive and long-range versions. This price cut will remain effective through February and the company will revert the price by March 1, 2024.
Eligible customers can take down the price further with a full $7,500 Federal Tax Credit and other state-specific subsidies on buying a new electric vehicle (EV).
