Tesla Model Y Performance in Canada gets 4,300 CAD price drop
Tesla Canada listed a CAD 4,300 (USD 3,188) price drop for the Tesla Model Y Performance version. This new price drop makes the EV eligible for a Federal iZEV rebate of $5,000 with a new reduced price cap.
Based on the adjustments, the Tesla Model Y Performance is now priced at CAD 69,990 which is down from $74,290. The rebate program could take the vehicle down up to $60,990.
The latest changes in price follow Tesla’s cut in the other two versions of Model Y in Canada. Last week, Tesla slashed rear-wheel drive (RWD) and long-range versions by a similar amount of 4,000 Canadian dollars.
The Model Y RWD starts at CAD 53,990 from CAD 57,990. The long-range version is priced at CAD 63,990 from CAD 67,990.
The new price tag on the long-range version enables a $7,000 Quebec provincial rebate. The Model Y RWD is now priced as low as CAD 41,990 with both of these rebate programs.
With these changes new changes the purchase prices of Tesla Model Y in Canada are now the following:
- Model Y RWD – $53,990
- Model Y Long Range – $63,990
- Model Y Performance – $69,990
