Tesla announces Cybertruck Japan tour
Tesla officially announced a Japan tour for its first-ever pick-up electric truck called “Cybertruck“. This announcement follows the company’s similar event in China over the last two weeks.
Tesla on Tuesday posted a teaser video on social media site X showing Cybertruck unloading for a public showcase.
On the event page, Tesla is registering interested people to receive further information about the Cybertruck showcase in Japan. Also, the registration is scheduled from February 6 to February 29, 2024.
It takes information such as name, contact information including phone and email postal code, and interested model. The registration process is identical to newsletter sign-up.
A few days ago, Tesla also started advertising on X for Japanese customers which comes after the company’s CEO mentioned that the company’s shares in the country are setting back.
To be clear this is not a launch event for Japanese buyers, this steel-plated Cybertruck needs to clear regulatory and public safety tests to get approval for general release. So, it’s more like a demonstration to hype for a potential launch launch.
Cybertruck equips traction force of approximately 4,990 kg. The maximum speed is 209 km/h and its beast mode accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds.
