Jeep previews new electric Wagoneer S from inside out
Jeep is ready to bring the new all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S to market ahead of that the carmaker has shared a preview of this upcoming electric SUV from the inside out.
The Jeep Wagoneer S is based on a battery electric vehicle (BEV) native Stellantis STLA-Large platform which was announced just a week ago. It comes with 3xe capability with all-terrain management and a 600-horsepower that can accelerate 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
STLA large’s BEV support has 400-volt and 800-volt electric architectures. It has three-in-one electric drive modules (EDMs) that integrate motor, power interverter, and gear reduction in front-wheel drive (FWD), rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) layouts.
Its power inverter uses silicon carbide semiconductor technology to reduce power loss. On the other hand, the Propulsion system can upgrade performance via OTA software updates.
STLA large chicle could hold battery pack options of 85 and 118-kilowatt hours (kWh) and 4.5 kWh per minute fast charging support. In action, it could provide 800 km/500 miles of driving.
The Jeep Wagoneer S design has a sleek exterior and tweaked LED-lit seven-slot Jeep brand grille.
Inside the cabin, you will see the classic look of the Jeep interior including an optimized control center with a Selec-Terrain feature. The cabin is also furnished with color-selectable ambient lighting.
Jeep Wagoneer S also features a standard dual-pane panoramic sunroof. To provide a better sound experience, Jeep is collaborating with high-end audio equipment maker McIntosh to tune the 19-speaker inside the SUV.
There’s no specific launch date for this new electric vehicle but the company could aim for the fall of 2024 to bring Jeep Wagoneer S to the U.S. followed by other global markets.
