Ford will sell 1,000 F-150 Lightning and Mustang Mach-E to Ecolab
Ford has partnered with Ecolab for a thousand Ford F-150 Lightning Pro and Mustang Mach-E SUVs. Ecolab, a leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, is building an electrified fleet of vehicles in North America, which aims to be completed by 2030.
Ecolab will start fleet electrification with California and convert its sales and service vehicles to EVs by 2025.
Under the new agreement, the carmaker will sell 1,000 F-150 Lightning Pro trucks and Mustang Mach-E SUVs to Ecolab.
The U.S.-based firm estimates that it can lower overall costs of operations and a total cost of ownership compared to ICE vehicles. It could cut $1,400 per vehicle each year.
Once delivered, the number of vehicles will create the largest electrified commercial sales and service fleet in California.
These EVs will be delivered by Ford Pro, the automaker’s commercial fleet solution with charging and telematics software.
This new business comes at a time when these companies are taking their partnership for nearly 100 years. Currently, Ecolab operates over 10,000 light-duty vehicles in its North American fleet. 95% of these fleet vehicles are delivered by Ford.
Ford says that it sold over 31,000 vehicles to the global sustainable leader.
