Monta, an electric vehicle (EV) charging software solution platform, has raised 80 million euros ($87 million) in its funding to increase operations and research on future products.

The company currently offers services for EV hardware manufacturers, operators, businesses, and EV drivers with integrated software solutions. Monta has over 600,000+ charging points across Europe in its EV charging belt.

The latest 80 million euros funding is part of “Series B” round funding, which has collected about 130 million euros in the past three years since the beginning.

This round of funding is led by Energize Capital and GreenPoint Partners as well as the Danish state-backed Export and Investment Fund. The Series B funding also has participation from existing funding from Headline, byFounders, AENU, and Creandum. The addition to its funding campaign includes Quantum Light.

The funding will be used to increase its employees and ramp up investment in research and development of new technologies around vehicle electrification.

The company says it has increased its annual revenue by 600% in the past year and opened two new offices in Paris and Barcelona with an increasing number of employees.

“With one million monthly charging sessions and 130,000 charge points on the Monta platform, our growth is a testament to this market nearing an inflection point, and we’re thrilled for the support from Energize and all our investors to help us further our mission of democratizing mobility electrification,” said Casper Rasmussen, CEO and founder of Monta.
