2TB iPhone 16 Pro models jumps into the rumor wagon
Large storage options of the iPhone are designed to hold more multimedia content for consumers and a new rumor suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro could offer up to 2TB of storage to house twice of media as before.
South Korea’s Naver Blog has brought this rumor to light and it says that Apple is preparing to launch twice the storage capacity with iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models.
It appears more like speculation based on recent news regarding the Quad-Level Cell (QLC) NAND flash for high storage models.
To relate, a past rumor suggests that the iPhone 16 series will switch from TLC NAND flash memory to QLC flash. It offers dense storage capacity but there’s a down side that it may slightly lower the read and write speed.
On the capacity side, the iPhone with QLC could increase storage options up to 2TB.
It’s not the first time when iPhones are rumored to launch with a 2TB storage option. However, the company may choose to bring up this storage option in limited quantity.
Still, none of these rumors became true as we have much of the time to find their authenticity.
