Renault reclaims sale growth in 2023 after 4 years of decline
Renault today announced vehicle sales results for 2023 and achieved 9.4% year-over-year growth and this positive figure arrived after 4 years of continuous decline.
Renault Group announced a total sale of 2,235, 345 vehicles in 2023. This figure includes 1,548,748 vehicles from the Renault brand, 658,321 vehicles from Dacia, and 4,328 vehicles from the Alpine brand.
Renault sold its highest shares of vehicles in Europe including 977,635 registrations with 19.3% growth.
The automaker continues to increase its electric vehicle (EV) offerings in both hybrid and all-electric categories. In terms of numbers, Renault reported a 19.7% increase in sales in one year with 270,362 electric units.
The Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) sales account 67% increase and 184,666 total sales units. Renault mentioned its Megane E-Tech electric sold 47,504 units in 2023.
Renault is also planning to launch 7 new vehicles in 2024. The plan includes 2 new EVs with Scenic E-Tech electric with 600km of WLTP range and Renault 5 E-tech electric all-electric pop icon.
2 new hybrid vehicles are planned for Europe including Rafale E-Tech. A new Renault Master (ICE and all-electric version) is planned for this year as well. Furthermore, 2 new vehicles are in the pipeline for markets outside Europe for international customers.
Other than Renault, Dacia will also have 2 vehicles and plans for 2024 and beyond.
