iPhone 16 and 16 Plus to equip more RAM and better connectivity
Apple is preparing to fetch more performance with its upcoming standard iPhone 16 lineup installing more RAM and better connectivity for customers.
Based on the information coming from Haitong International Securities analyst Jeff Pu, it’s revealed that all of the iPhone 16 models will pack 8GB RAM.
iPhone 15 series consists of 6GB RAM for the 15 and 15 Plus models and the Pro and Pro Max offers 8GB RAM. Therefore, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will now also bring 8GB RAM.
Apple has always been private about the RAM capacity and never mentioned it as a core capability of the iPhones. However, Android phone makers have been stepping up the RAM game and taking it to over 20GB in their new release.
Yet, even with this much RAM, Apple devices allocate important resources even quicker than those large memory Android phones with Apple’s own iOS software.
However improving the memory of entry models will also help to improve the user experience, which could be a good decision.

The new iPhone 16 Pro lineup will use Qualcomm X75 modem and the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will qualify for Qualcomm X70. Meanwhile, the current iPhone lineup has an X70 modem with better 5G speed than the predecessor iPhone 14.
Information shows that the Qualcomm X75 model uses Qualcomm’s 6th generation modem solutions for 5G smartphones. It offers a Modem-RF system a hardware tensor accelerator and 5G AI Suite Gen 2 with new AI-optimized network speed and coverage.
Furthermore, Pu added that the base models will get better Wi-Fi performance with Wi-Fi 6E. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max may feature Wi-Fi 7, which is a big probability.
