Apple rolls out third iOS 17.3 beta 3 rollout after 2nd beta with boot loop bug
Apple has started to rollout iOS 17.3 beta 3 software for the testers after pulling the disastrous iOS 17.3 beta 2 build with a boot loop bug.
Apple addressed that this new beta brings new fixes for APIs that provide transaction values that would unexpectedly fail when the purchase price of the transaction is a very large number.
Other than that, there are no user-friendly changes mentioned in the changelog of the release. This new incremental update comes after Apple started pushing iOS 17.3 beta 2 to kick off 2024.
However, beta testers started to report a major bug that was bricking their beta-installed iPhones. Specifically, the iPhone began showing continuous auto start and preventing the phone from leading to the home screen with operation features.
Following these user reports, Apple withdrew the 2nd beta from the rollout channel and prevented further reach of this buggy build version. Affected users are also advised to revert
You can download the latest iOS beta by going into Settings > General > Software Update. You can download the latest available beta update on the screen.
If you are not part of the beta program, you can choose to opt for the beta build by selecting Beta Updates and choosing public beta or developer beta.
After that, you can once again check for the latest software update to fetch a new beta update package.
