Valeo Group on Thursday announced Valeo Ineez Air Charging, its wireless charging solution for electric vehicles (EVs). This new solution will be on showcase at CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 8 to 12, 2024.

The Ineez Air Charging aims at an efficient and lightweight solution to recharge vehicles inductively without any charging cable.

This Air Charging is a new wireless tech that uses 3kHz low operating frequency and brings about 50% less weight than other systems with the least charging operations.

Valeo says the charging solution focuses on affordability but provides efficiency above 90% from grid to battery.

The design is adaptive and compatible with each wall box, every country’s grid (1 or 3-phase network), and all cars (400-800v batteries).

This solution offers a Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) feature for any targeted power solution ranging from 7-22kW. It can be applied to charging locations such as public streets, parking, or shopping malls. It could also be installed in private spaces such as homes or work.

The Valeo Air Charging supports direct plug into an existing wall box or linked to the grid for maximum security and communications with the vehicle and user.

There are a few more things to know about Ineez Air charging including its future-proof design for autonomous cars that could recharge themselves on an inductive charging area.

This new Air charging solution is covered by 25+ design patents from hardware to software, and mechatronics. If you are planning to visit CES 2023 then you can check this tech live at Valeo booth.
