Tesla sold 1.81 million EVs in 2023 and 484,000 in the last quarter

Tesla today shared its electric vehicles (EVs) business from for 2023 including a 1.81 million sales record.

According to Tesla, the company produced about 495,000 vehicles and delivered 484,000 vehicles. Within this number, the company accounted for Model 3/Y for 476,777 units in production and delivered 461,538 units.

Other models from the Q4 delivery results account for 22,969 deliveries.

Compared to this, Tesla produced 430,000 vehicles in the third quarter and delivered over 4,35,000 vehicles. The Q4 delivery shows an increase of roughly 11.16% as compared to the past quarter.

Overall, the company sold 1,739,707 units of Model 3 and Y. Other Tesla models in the year accounted for 68,874 units. The total number of vehicles delivered in 2023 combined at 1,808,581 units. The yearly sales achieved 38% year-on-year growth compared to the past year.

Also, the number meets the sales target of 1.8 million of what Tesla previously forecasted.

Financial Results:

Tesla will share the Q4 2023 financial results on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. The company will issue a brief advisory containing a link to the Q4 and the full-year update.

As usual, Tesla management will hold a live conference call with a Q&A session to discuss Tesl’as financial and business outlook for the quarter.

The conference call is set to start at 4:30 p.m. Central and 5:30 p.m. Eastern time.
