Some other reports hint that an announcement could be made during the “Vibrant Gujrat Global Summit”, which will start on January 10, 2024.

It’s being said that Tesla CEO, Elon Musk will be flying to the country to join India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the event.

Long-Standing Plans:

Tesla and the Indian government have been engaged in a long-standing conversation to setup a manufacturing plant in the country.

But both parties have failed to come up with a resolution so far. The main hurdles in the deal include import duties, location, and negotiations.

However, there are some indications that Tesla and the Indian government have come up with an understanding on this matter in 2023.
