SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launches USSF-52 mission into Earth’s orbit

SpaceX today launched the USSF-52 mission into orbit using the super powerful Falcon Heavy rocket.

There have been two delays earlier this month before today’s liftoff from Complex 39A (LC-39A) at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. This mission was a collaboration between Space System Command (SSC), and SpaceX.

The side boosters used in the mission completed their fifth reusable performance and previously supported major missions including USSF-44, USSF-67, Hughes JUPTER 3, and NASA’s Psyche missions.

Post-hot-staging, the side boosters landed back on SpaceX’s Landing Zone 1 and 2 (LZ-1 and LZ-2) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The payload of this missing includes a military space plan alongside NASA’s experimental technology. The deployment time is not yet confirmed.
