Kuo suggests that Apple will begin mass shipments of Vision Pro in the first week of January 2024. It is followed by an in-store appearance in late January or early February based on the current plans.

This mixed reality headset is promoted as a “spatial computer” and supports motion gestures, eye tracking, and voice inputs to form an interactive interface.

The Vision Pro features a laminated glass display on the front side an aluminum frame covered by a flexible cushion, and an adjustable headband. The frame has five sensors, six microphones, and 12 cameras.

There are two micro-OLED screens with 23 megapixels and output a 4K resolution for each side. It equips dual-chip processors including an M2 and R1 to empower all of the controls and mixed reality features.

This new headset has two audio pods on each side to support ‘spatial audio’ for the customer. In terms of battery life, the Vision Pro offers a two-hour battery and can be used plugged in throughout the day.

These specifications are quite promising and there could be a big customer base waiting for the delivery. However, an after sale consumer feedback will decide the future of Vision Pro and may also help the company shape its next strategy around the product.
