BMW CEO wants to sell 500,000 EVs in 2024

BMW chief executive officer (CEO), Oliver Zipse said in an interview that his brand aims to deliver over 500,000 electric vehicles (EVs) in 2024.

In an interview published in Focus new magazine on Thursday, Zipse showed his confidence saying that his company will deliver over half a million EVs next year for the first time.

In the third quarter of this year, BMW Group reported an increase in BEV vehicles, which increased by 79.6% in Q3 2023.

Deliveries of full-electric BMW vehicles doubled with 100% growth. In the third quarter, BMW Group reported 93,931 full-electric BMW and MINI vehicle sales. Meanwhile, BEVs are projected to account for 15% of total vehicle sales of BMW in 2023.
