iPhone 16 Pro to increase display size but no major change in design: Gurman

Apple is preparing for the next series of iPhone lineup and the current plans reveals that the iPhone 16 Pro may increase display size but look similar to its predecessor.

In his recent Weekly Power On Newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman brought some new intersting details about next iPhones. The design will elevate aesthetics from iPhone 15 model but there could be increase in size for the Pro devices.

A report from Macrumors indicates that iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will come with  slight change in weight of 2 grams, taking the numbers 173 grams and 203 grams respectively. Despite increase the weight the models may not expand in screen dimension.

On the other hand, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max may ramp up display size to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. Meanwhile, the current iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max have 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch of screen panels.

That’s not it, the observation also suggests that these two Pro models would also be taller than the past version and there may be some addition in the width size.

In terms of the material, the iPhone 16 Pro series would furnish the use of Grade 5 Titanium. However, you can expect some new color options.

Based on the traditional unveiling timeline, Apple holds its iPhone launch events between around late third and fourth quarter of the year.
