Tesla officially announces 2023 Holiday update and features
Tesla today officially announced the upcoming 2023 Holiday Update for its vehicles. Alongside, the EV maker also confirmed that this update will rollout next week with a load of new features.
Below you can check all of the features and improvements coming with this release. However, some of these new additions became visible in the internal rollout for Tesla employees.
Custom Lock Sounds
- You will be able to replace the horn lock sound of your vehicle with another sound such as a screaming goat.
Rear screen gameplay
- You can now also play your favorite games on the rear touchscreen.
Rear Screen Bluetooth Headsets
- Rear passengers can now use wireless Bluetooth headphones while watching shows or playing games on the rear screen.
Apple Podcasts
- You can now listen to all of your podcasts from Apple Podcasts directly on the large screen.
Tesla App Trip Planner
- You can use the Tesla mobile app to plan a multi-stop trip and send it to your vehicle
Speed Cameras on Route
- Navigation now includes speed cameras, stop signs & traffic lights for efficient driving.
Automatic 911 Calls
- Your vehicle will automatically call 911 if an accident triggers the airbags. However, you will get a countdown timer to cancel the call.
Blind Spot Indicators
- The blind spot camera will alert you with red shading when your turn signal is on and a car is detected in your blind spot.
More Live Sentry Cameras
- When viewing vehicle surroundings from the Tesla app, you’ll now have access to the left and right pillar cameras for a total of 7 angles.
Light Show
- The update includes a new Light Show called ‘The Arrival’ by Irving Victoria.
Castle Doombad
- Castle Doombad is now available in the Tesla Arcade and new updates are added to Beach Buggy, Polytopia & Vampire Survivors games.
High Fidelity Park Assist
- You can now see a 3D reconstruction of your surroundings while parking.
Aside from these, Tesla may have added a few optimizations and improvements to the 2023 Holiday update. Therefore, you can keep an eye on the large screen to check for new software.
