The situation between Tesla and Swedish workers continues to escalate as the EV maker has now taken a new stand against the country’s Transport Agency on Monday and sued it for blocking car number plates.

Local newspaper Dagens Industri reports that Tesla said that the problems in issuing license plates for new Teslas are a ‘Discrimator attack’ on Tesla and the law is not helping the company either.

The documents filed in the district court reveal Tesla’s appeal to oblige the Swedish Transport Agency to ensure that registration plates for the vehicles owned by Tesla must come into Tesla’s possession.

The Swedish Transport Agency is responsible for registering new cars and issuing number plates in Sweden.

The latest court filing from Tesla comes after a worker’s strike broke out in the country, which was joined by postal workers to stop the deliveries of number plates to Tesla workshops in Sweden.

The strike is triggered by IF Metall, Sweden’s metalworkers union by the end of October. The strike aims at Tesla to sign a collective bargaining agreement with around 130 mechanics at its workshops.

However, the strike continues to expand as more of the workers are joining the momentum against the EV maker and raising sympathy along with IF Metall.

On the other hand, the strikes made it hard for Tesla to sell new cars due to the important services required to hand over cars to the buyers.
